The Chestnut Burr was the Kent State University student-produced yearbook, published from 1914 through 1985. There was no yearbook published in 1920. The Kent State shootings of May 1970 are covered extensively in the 1971 yearbook. The yearbooks provide information about campus life through the decades including coverage of student organizations and clubs, athletics, traditions, and notable events.
